[19:18]  Alejandro: hey everyone i would like if its ok to discuss an issue of importance?
[19:18]  Vonn Neumann: If it involve jesus or GWB then save your breath
[19:19]  Alejandro: no
[19:19]  Alejandro: its about the immigration laws being passed
[19:19]  Vonn Neumann: Hmmmm noes...not so relevant unless we in your country
[19:19]  Laprisamata Vilas: in what country alejanro?
[19:20]  Alejandro: the us
[19:20]  Alejandro: In 1980, I arrived in the US with my mother at the age of 2. I became a citizen when my mom was naturalized at the age of 10.
[19:20]  Alejandro: At the age of 24 I was placed under deportation under the counts of drug conviction. I was deported back into my country. I then spent the next year trying to raise enough money to return into the US. In 2000, I was caught trying to re-enter the US
[19:21]  Laprisamata Vilas: alejandro, you shouldnt have got caught with the drugs..
[19:21]  Alejandro: I understand that, but the facts still remain that I was deported even though I was a citizen
[19:21]  Vonn Neumann: Yes that happens in Australia too..even if you been here all your life, you can be deported to your home country for crimes
[19:22]  Vonn Neumann: citizenship in Aus can be revoked
[19:22]  Laprisamata Vilas: yeah, but they do that in the uk too, these days- if you violate the laws of your host country, you loose your rights as a citizen
[19:22]  Laprisamata Vilas: but i know what you mean, alejandro
[19:22]  Alejandro: the legal system is blaming me for not knowing my status
[19:22]  Vonn Neumann: I not think it is a good thing
[19:22]  Vonn Neumann: I sympathise
[19:22]  Alejandro: its not a good thing
[19:23]  Alejandro: thxs
[19:23]  Laprisamata Vilas: what exactly was the drug offence, alejandro?
[19:24]  Alejandro: My purpose here is to inform other foreigners to check their US citizenship status
[19:24]  Alejandro: the possession of weed
[19:26]  Alejandro: I would like to know if anyone has any advice that they would like me to follow
