By creating flip books, students explore the concept of persistence of vision. After investigating work from a recent exhibit of "thumb cinema" at Kunsthalle Dusseldorf and early optical toys such as thaumatropes, phenakistiscopes and zoetropes, students created their own flip books using Flash.
