Artist's description: I placed faux paintings in gallery frames near the classical Greek statues in the CMU College of Fine Arts Great Hall, a place filled with copies of the most renowned art in history. This was a means of comparing the classical canon of beauty and today's canon of beauty. By so doing, it forces the viewer to confront the fact that popular culture, in the form of popular ideals, has had a role in even the high classical art revered today.
